Public health awareness is critical to FCAB’s goal to sustaining long-term health and well-being. Thus it integrates public health education into its various activities. FCAB’s commitment to monitoring impact data enables it to adapt to the area’s changing needs. FCAB conducts focused health screenings and information sessions for women, adolescent girls and pregnant women. It encouraged breastfeeding by giving lactation support through local Immunization Clinics. FCAB initiated a no spitting and no littering campaign in the village to encourage the community to keep their environment clean and protect against disease. FCAB brought 100% clean sanitation to its 5 village working area through the free distribution of sanitary latrines. In conjunction with this distribution, FCAB also teaches good hygiene practices such as handwashing. During the pandemic FCAB conducted particular advocacy around COVID risk, prevention and treatment. FCAB works in partnership with local government health services to disseminate important health issue campaigns.
